SageWoman,
Issue 62, Review by Aurielle SilverMoone
The
first thing that comes to mind in an attempt to describe
this CD is that the voice behind it is absolutely
stunning. I say attempt to describe because
I cant convey how I feel about this in words;
its more of a feeling. It was soothing, emotional,
even hypnotic at times. The blurb on the back of the
album says Woman Wisdom is about spirit
guides, guardian angels, healing crystals, animals,
self-belief . . . and its true. The true
gem behind Woman Wisdom is the singer
Juliana, who is quickly becoming one of the finest
New Age singers of our time.
Two
of the best songs on this recording are Runs
With the Wind, which is so hauntingly beautiful,
you can lose yourself in it, and Arianna,
a song that seemingly is about a guardian angel or
spirit guide. A phrase like take me on your
wings, fly me far away from here was sung so
eloquently and evoked such deep meaning while listening
to it that it almost became an emotional release.
This one by far was my favorite on the entire album.
Julianas
voice is pure gold. It is gentle, angelic, trance
inducing . . . she really made these songs her own,
including a remake of the popular Enya song Marble
Halls. Its a nice addition to any New
Age music collection.
